Handmade Ceramic and sterling silver Moon Dangle Earrings in turquoise and blue

I make a range of pendants and earrings that I call 'Moon Dangles' because they are shaped like full or crescent moons, with dangling glass charms for a bit of added sparkle!

These handmade ceramic drop earrings have shades of turquoise and blue washed over them. They have glass charms made from turquoise Japanese lustred crystal.

As with all my jewellery they are made and decorated entirely by hand.

After forming the drops from fine white clay, I imprint my design. When dry, I sand the back and sides and round off any corners to ensure they are super smooth. They then have their first firing. Next I paint them using under-glazes and apply a transparent glaze before firing again to earthenware. Being glazed all over they are smooth against the skin whilst retaining the texture of the imprinted design. The result is a pleasantly tactile item.

• Each drop is approximately 1½" (38mm) long, including dangles (but excluding the wire), and about ¾” (20mm) wide

• All my jewellery comes in a hand-stamped box
