Rock Goddess Handmade Ceramic Brooch in red, orange and ochre, sea lover gift

My Rock Goddess cuts an elegant figure, beside the sea with a soft sunset backdrop. This brooch is from a range of seaside themed ceramic accessories, celebrating my love of swimming, the beach and sunny days. As with all my jewellery it is made and decorated entirely by hand.

After forming my brooches from fine white clay, I imprint the texture and design. When dry, I sand the sides and round off the corners to ensure they are super smooth to the touch. They then have their first firing. Next I paint them using under-glazes and apply a transparent glaze before firing again to earthenware. Brooches are glazed on the front and sides and are very smooth whilst retaining the texture of the imprinted design. The result is a pleasantly tactile item.

This is a one-off listing, the brooch in the photographs is the actual one you will receive.

The brooch is 32mm/1½" long by 19mm/¾" wide. The pin is securely glued lengthways down the back.
